SwitchMyFleet now part of the Sustainable Business Network Climate Action Toolbox

Critchlow Geospatial are delighted to advise that SwitchMyFleet has now been added to the Sustainable Business Network Climate Action Toolbox.

Developed with co-funding through EECA’s Low Emissions Transport Fund, SwitchMyFleet is Critchlow Geospatial’s free online tool providing operational cost comparisons between internal combustion engine vehicles and electric vehicles.

Founded in 2002, the Sustainable Business Network is New Zealand’s largest, longest-standing sustainable business organisation and network dedicated to enabling system change in the areas of climate, waste and nature.

The Sustainable Business Network Climate Action Toolbox is their free, easy-to-use online toolset that shows organisations how to measure and reduce emissions.

Based on a simple self-assessment, the Toolbox will identify priority action areas based on business type and core activities and then provide tailored advice and support that includes:

• An emissions calculator to help businesses gain a much better understanding of their carbon footprint
• A personalised action plan that can be reviewed and updated
• Step-by-step guides for reducing emissions with links to useful tools, resources and information.

The step-by-step guides are where SwitchMyFleet comes in as a linked resource for assessing the impact that switching to electric cars, vans and trucks could have on the business.

SwitchMyFleet allows users to input their own real-world business scenarios to compare the costs of operating different sizes and types of vehicles, with the results providing all the metrics needed to build a solid business case for switching some or all of a commercial fleet to electric.

Critchlow Geospatial’s focus on creating innovative new solutions like SwitchMyFleet is generating all sorts of opportunities for working with like-minded partners such as the Sustainable Business Network, as we all work collectively towards reaching our emissions targets.
